Where do I pay my delinquent real estate taxes?

All delinquent City of Scranton real estate taxes up to the year 2010 may be paid at Northeast Revenue Service’s payment center or by calling (570) 207-3860.

Note:

2011 delinquent real estate taxes should be paid at the City of Scranton’s Single Tax Office located on the second floor of The Mall at Steamtown, unit 216, next to the Bon Ton.

 

Delinquent Tax Notification

*Northeast Revenue Service, LLC strictly adheres to the Municipal Claims and Tax Lien Act, under which we are authorized to collect delinquent real estate taxes for the City of Scranton.

You will receive an initial courtesy letter by regular mail indicating the amount of taxes, interest and fees that are owed for each year on a delinquent parcel.

Payment Plans

You may be eligible for a payment plan according to the Municipal Claims and Tax Lien Act. Payment plans require a 25% down payment of the total taxes due for all years including accrued interest, costs and fees.  The remaining balance must be paid in twenty-three equal monthly installments.

2012 Treasurer's Sale
Monday June 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

The City of Scranton will hold a Public Treasurer’s Sale for all parcels located in the City of Scranton with delinquent tax claims for the years 2004 through 2009 on Monday June 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at Scranton City Hall.
